GREEN BUILDING: Photovoltaic Solar Energy systems

We designed the first house in Scarsdale, NY to have photovoltaic solar panels approved by the town's Board of Architectural Revbiew and installed.  The system is mounted on the rear slate roof of the house which faces south.  This active solar system provides 9 kilowatts of electrical power for the house.

The energy-efficiency of this house was written up in an article in New York House Magazine.
