Shingle-Style House, Scarsdale, NY

This house was designed for a family looking for a traditional Shingle Style house but also needing to move in quickly. It wasn't feasible to renovate and upgrade the original dilapidated house on their property so we replaced it with a new house while keeping the mature landscape intact. The Shingle-style house has a contemporary floor plan that suits their lifestyle without changing the scale and charm of this historic neighborhood filled with period houses.

In order to keep the time that the family had to relocate as short as possible, the house was built in a high-end modular house factory and delivered to the site in pieces. The total time span for construction on-site was only 4 months, versus the typical 18 months to two years for a similar stick-built house.
