shingle-style house and boathouse, guilford, ct

This scenic 14 acre site on a peninsula jutting into Long Island Sound has views in every direction. The project includes the recently completed Boathouse, shown in these pictures, which will be used as the guest house in the future. It’s an 850 sq. ft. structure that includes a Living Room, Bedroom, small Kitchen and a Bath as well as storage below for sailboats and kayaks. The house with it’s extensive decks is raised on a stone plinth to keep it above the flood plane.

The main Shingle-style residence is now under construction.
