SHINGLE-STYLE ADDITION & RENOVATION, Greenburgh, NY

This project is the renovation of a 1960s-era Cape Cod style home which includes a new Shingle-style facade and the addition of a three-car Garage with bedrooms above.

The floor plan was re-arranged to suit the 2nd generation owners, a young family with 4 kids. A small apartment was also created for the grandfather who is the original owner of the house and will continue to live with here as part of the extended family.

The house was completely upgraded to improve it's energy use. A geothermal ground source HVAC system was added. The geothermal wells are located below the front lawn. Radiant floor heating and icynene spray foam insulation have also been installed along with insulated replacement windows.
