Collegiate Gothic Greenhouse, Western Pennsylvania
This
is a new stone & glass greenhouse built on the grounds of an historic
limestone Collegiate Gothic estate listed in the National Register of
Historic Places and originally designed in 1929 by Benno Janssen. The
greenhouse was designed to match the style of the existing structures
on the estate. The project also includes renovation of 23,000 sq. ft.
existing house, a 7,000 sq. ft. limestone addition in the style of the
original, interior decoration and extensive sitework, as well as the renovation
of a separate 9,000 square foot staff residence.
