This s a list of hotlinks to sites which illustrate the work of some of our favorite Architects and Artists. The work ranges mostly from the 1870s to the 1930s, a period when regional styles, decorative detail and hand craftsmanship flourished. We've grouped the list under the title of The Aesthetic Movement however it encompasses many related but varied styles from the United States and Europe. The reason that any particular architect has made it on the list is simply that we like their work. The links are loosely grouped by style rather than rigorously categorized. We hope this will lead to serendipitous discovery of some new styles and architects. We add links to this page whenever we find them so bookmark our page and come back again.
The updated version of this list is best viewed if you have a Frames capable browser such as Netscape Navigator 2.0 or higher. You can however see the most current list at the Historical Links page on our website. We've also set up a separate page of links to Contemporary Craftsmen, Products and Resource Sites at a new Craftsmen Links Page.
